It is official, votes are in and by a landslide you've selected the New Orleans route!

SSP Miami

2016 - 6th Annual October Trip

Delta Blues Cruise

sign.jpg

(or until a better name surfaces...)

The preliminary plans are to depart Miami on Thursday October 6th and Return either Thursday October 13th or Friday October 14th.

The route would take us through Florida, stopping in Pensacola. On early the next day to New Orleans, staying that day and until 3 or so the next day, touring and taking in all New Orleans has to offer. We would depart NO late that day and stay the night in Natchez, MS. Next day we'd head North along portions of the Natchez parkway, hitting US 61 retracing locations where the Delta Blues were born. We'd stay near Clarksdale and possibly hit Graceland in Memphis before heading East along southern Tennessee. The following days would include stops at the Jack Daniels distillery, roads along the Ocoee River area, and heading South through Eastern Alabama and the Talladega area, before heading back to Miami.

As always, every road we travel will be interesting and different...

This is a point-to-point trip, so every morning you will have to pack up and travel with all you brought. We will cover approximately 2,500 miles.

Please post up if you are interested (serious inquiries only!).

The actual dates may adjust a day or two, but will always stay between those dates posted above.

Pascoe's are in. Those dates work for us, we will be there, probably meet you around NO and depart after you leaveTN, " POSSIBLY HIT GRACELAND?"  Debbie says we should stay at the Heartbreak Hotel. LOL. If you are thinking of staying overnight in Memphis, we have lots of ideas where to stay and what to do, where to eat, etc.

Ok, want to start reserving hotel rooms. Need all people who will attend to post up by February 19th.

I don't anticipate any deposits being needed right away but won't know for sure until we make arrangements.

Also I'm fine with you saying that you will go but then needing to drop out (getting any deposits back will be on you), but any who decide to go later on will be on your own to get reservations.

So bottom line is let me know now if you are interested.

Nothing set in stone yet, but we may join the cruise through to Baton Rouge where we would turn west to visit my family in Texas.

Do I have to say it?

McLaren F1 history:

Gordon Murray insisted that the engine for this car be naturally aspirated to increase reliability and driver control. Turbochargers and superchargers increase power but they increase complexity and can decrease reliability as well as introducing an additional aspect of latency and loss of feedback. The ability of the driver to maintain maximum control of the engine is thus decreased.

Count in Albert and myself. Mark it down for the Trans Am too.
In less enlightened times, the best way to impress a woman was to own a hot car. But woman wised up and realized it was better to buy their own hot cars so they wouldn't have to ride around with jerks.-Scott Adams
